My LITTLE BIRD paperweights or "worry stones" are the result of my first experience with fused glass. I was experimenting with layering the glass pieces on one another. After the pieces were fired, I was fascinated with how the glass had melted and "fused" into interesting shapes and colors and I really liked the smooth feel of the glass. It reminded me of a Jade "worry stone" that I had bought years ago. Each piece is hand cut, individually designed and fired. The end result is always a bit of a surprise: part of the fun of working in this medium. Used as a paperweight, they work great on paper napkins outside to keep them from blowing away. I hope you enjoy your paperweight or "stone" as a piece of art to have in your home or hold in your hand.
